Paris Hilton's not-for-profit organization is helping 50 women-owned small businesses affected by the Los Angeles fires. The money will go to 11:11 Media Impact and GoFundMe.org, which will distribute $1 million in grants, with each business receiving $25,000. The funds are intended to help various businesses including daycares, restaurants, florists, fitness studios and boutiques.
Last week, I had the immense honor to meet some of the women who run their own small businesses that were wiped out due to the LA Fires—and are now getting a second chance," Hilton wrote on Instagram. "I read every application personally, and I want these women to know: I see you, I believe in you and I am honored to support your journey."
1,800 companies in Eaton and thousands of Palisades Fire zones had generated nearly $1.5 billion in sales, as per LA County Economic Development Corporation. These companies are the main ones that are expected to benefit from this recovery grant. "Always be present for women entrepreneurs. Women's success equals everyone's success," she remarked.
Hilton not only provided business backing but also collaborated with the Pasadena Humane Society in reuniting pet families’ post-fires. Apart from her business support, Hilton suffered personal loss too. Her Palisades home was destroyed in the January wildfire.
