Recently, Kerrie Greenfelder, PE has been appointed as Society of Women Engineers’ (SWE) president-elect. She will be undertaking the role of SWE president in July 2026.
She is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in water / wastewater treatment processing and landfill design and construction. Currently, she is the Past President of KSPE- Kansas Society of Professional Engineers which she joined in 2018 as Secretary. Besides, she is also serving as the Engineering Director, Water at Burns and McDonnell from 2015, obtaining various roles since then. Earlier in her career, she has also been a part of SWE as Director – FY22/23 for two years and Director – FY20/21 for over two years.
In addition, Kerrie is a chemical engineer, focused on critical infrastructure development. She brings specialities like Personnel and Team Management, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Planning, Wastewater Conveyance, Water Reuse, Water Reclamation, Water Use Optimization, Water Supply, Water Treatment, Solid Waste and Environmental Services.
