ING Australia, a major bank in Australia, has promoted Jennifer Davies as its new Head of Retail, and her appointment took effect on May 1. Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and consulting and has worked in senior positions dealing with enhancing customer experience, market expansion, and risk management.
Jennifer is coming to ING from National Australia Bank (NAB), where she was in several executive positions, most recently as Executive General Manager Business Everyday Banking. Before joining the banking industry, she was a partner at McKinsey & Company, working on transformation projects for consumer and business-oriented organizations. Davies has an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a member of Chief Executive Women.
We are excited to welcome Jennifer to ING," said Melanie Evans, ING Australia CEO. "She has a great depth of experience across a wide range of industries and a long track record of being a customer-centric leader. As we shape our future growth and expand our reach, Jen's innovative mind, strategic expertise, and drive to deliver excellent results make her the ideal person to lead our retail business.”
Expressing her excitement about assuming the new job, Davies confirmed she was keen to work in a brand which has a stellar reputation in internet banking. "ING is one of those rare brands that people really connect with – its spirit, energy, and relentless passion for customers have always impressed me," she claimed. I eagerly anticipate helping to create the retail banking tomorrow here, one that keeps innovating the norm, driving great experiences, and enhancing banking for all customers on a daily basis.
