Recently, a bespoke financial solution for females in business entitled as H.E.R (Helping Everywoman Rise) Banking has been launched by First National Bank of Namibia (FNB) during Women’s Month, with an intent towards marking a milestone in its ongoing commitment for inclusivity.
During the launch ceremony, Sepo Haihambo, the FNB Namibia Commercial Chief Executive stated, “Women are breaking barriers and building successful companies like never before. Globally, we are seeing the rise of female-founded businesses and as a result there is an increasing recognition that gender-balanced teams are more effective, more innovative and more productive.”
As per Sepo, the financial access is listed as one of the rising challenges for Namibian women who are a major part of business since the most promising business ideas might get off the ground because of adequate financial resources.
He added, “We understand the challenges women face in business and are committed to providing the resources, networks and support, women need to succeed. We recognise that the fight for equality in business is ongoing, and we are determined to be part of the solution.”
Additionally, the initiative provides value propositions that involves a dedicated women’s hub in the Small Medium Enterprise digital call centre that offers specialised advice while showing support and specialised business insurance, intending to cover the unique risks that entrepreneurs come across in the industry, providing financial protection with a peace of mind.
Founded in 1901, First National Bank of Namibia (FNB) caters in the Banking industry with headquarters in Windhoek, Khomas. It provides a full range of banking services for individuals.
