Coco Gauff Enterprises will be operating with the support of WME. Until now, Coco has been represented by Team8, the agency founded by Swiss tennis star Roger Federer and his agent Tony Godsick. In a social media post, Gauff shared that her new agency is a testament to her priority of making an impact, not only in tennis, but in business, philanthropy and more.
"I’m thrilled to say that this is just the start of a really exciting next chapter for me, and there’s much more to share, down the line," Coco remarked. "As always, tennis remains my No. 1 priority!” currently ranked third in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings, Gauff made her breakthrough when she won the 2023 US Open Grand Slam at just 19 years old.
At just 21, she was recently named the highest earned female athlete in the world by Forbes, with earnings estimated to be $34.4 million in 2024. She also ranked 13th on SportsPro’s list of the 50 Most Marketable Athletes-list, the highest among tennis athletes.
Coco’s sponsorship roster includes leading brands such as New Balance, Rolex, and Head. In 2023, she added Carol's Daughter, an L'Oreal company, to her roster as well as an investment in Naked Juice Company buying equity in the juice business. Coco also made an investment in Unrivaled, a women's three-on-three basketball league. Gauff will be handled by WME, an agency that handles many of the world's top tennis players including Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, and Taylor Fritz.
WME is an affiliate of the WME Group, previously called Endeavor, following a recent private equity acquisition from a company named Silver Lake. Gauff has become one of tennis' most marketable stars since her breakthrough performance at Wimbledon in 2019 aged just 15. Coco’s large social media following, enthusiasm regarding social causes related to mental health, gun violence, and racism, as well as her authenticity, all appeals to both fans and brands. Gauff ranked third in SportsPro's 50MM authenticity score rankings overall.
For WME, partnering with Coco is a major win, strengthening its presence in tennis despite losing stars like Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka. It continues to represent key figures in the sport, including Serena Williams.
