Recently, Amstel Malta has taken a step forward towards empowering Nigerian female entrepreneurs, built on the momentum of International Women’s Month.
A total of 12 remarkable women-led businesses have been awarded with business grants by the premium malt drink brand, strengthening its commitment towards fostering independence of finance and entrepreneurship for females.
The campaign has spotlighted women-owned businesses across Nigeria which has been designed for intermingling the physical marketplaces’ vibrancy with digital media’s expansive reach. In addition, Amstel Malta surprised two women entrepreneurs at the bustling Iponri Market in Lagos with N200,000 grant award each which amplified their resilience as well as dedication for commerce.
Moreover, the initiative has extended its impact beyond the marketplace via a digital call for entries through the social media platforms of Amstel Malta. Having an immense response, hundreds of women entrepreneurs coming from varied sectors also shared their stories with regard to business while each one of them were reflecting ambition and perseverance.
A total of 10 women were selected from the pool of inspiring entries with each receiving N200,000 for investment purpose in their businesses to fuel their growth.
In a statement, Nigerian Breweries PLC’s Senior Brand Manager of Amstel Malta & Hi-Malt Francis Obiajulu said, “At Amstel Malta, we believe that true progress happens when people receive the right support. Women entrepreneurs are shaping industries, creating jobs, and driving innovation, often with limited resources. This campaign was about recognizing their efforts and providing tangible financial support to help them scale their businesses. We are proud to stand behind them this Women’s Month and beyond.”
