50 Businesswomen Complete Access Bank's Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Thon 6th Edition

A total of 50 women entrepreneurs have finally completed the sixth edition of Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Thon by Access Bank. They all received financial assistance as well as support for business development in order to scale their enterprises. 

Powered by Access W, this initiative has been designed with an intent towards empowering women in business by offering the beneficiaries with numerous forms of support that also includes grants, website development, business protection cover, and assistance for digital marketing. It continues to make transformative changes for women entrepreneurs while providing skills, resources, and capital to them which are required to thrive in the business landscape of Ghana.  

Amongst all, three participants received GH¢100,000 each for the expansion of their businesses. These three were Osikalim Food Processing’s Khadija Osman, Vieva Bee Enterprise’s Geneviva Baidoo, and Dr Do God Limited’s Emmanuella Tordman Khadija. 

Additionally, Access Bank Ghana’s Group Head for Retail Banking Matilda Asante-Asiedu said, “As a bank dedicated to supporting women in business, this Pitch-A-Thon provides an avenue for female entrepreneurs to present their ideas, gain essential business training, and receive funding. This initiative has been impactful in job creation and livelihood enhancement, and we remain committed to its expansion. 

Moreover, Geneviva Baidoo who’s one of the winners said, “This funding will allow me to invest in machinery, raw materials, and expand my team. I also remain committed to my annual donation to orphanages, and this grant will ensure I can continue giving back to the community.”
